The app is great. Easy to use, works well, crashes very rarely. The content is also pretty good. Definitely skewed to the younger cartoon generation but there is some variety with Valiant comics, Breaking Bad, Star Trek etc. The only two issues are the prices & how you earn coins, aside from buying them. First the prices for the rare stuff is absolutely ridiculous...some end up being more than $20, for blind boxes. I can buy a real piece at Kid Robot for the same price. Also, Tapjoy is basically either one big scam or their backend tech has major issues...or maybe both. I have done countless downloads, questionnaires, played dumb games etc. and have not received my reward coins. I tried to email & contact about it at first but it became way too time consuming - which is what they expect I assume. I’m owed over 350k coins last count. So if you’re downloading Quidd now just keep track of what you do on Tapjoy & what you’re given. There’s little chance it’ll match up after a few tries.
If you’re a collector or are into comics/cartoons this is a cool way to access some new things when all you have is your phone.
The trading is definitely the best part. There’s a large knowledgeable group out there to trade & chat with. There are plenty of A-holes too but the ratio is about 80/20...pretty good for Internet standards. Just be cool & most people act accordingly.
To Quidd... why 4000 coins? Why not 5000? Just seems like a weird number.
Keep the rare stuff coming. The recent Hellboy release was great! That’s the stuff that keeps older people like me chasing until 3am.
> Hope to see more from Kid Robot, maybe Be@rbrick, Dunny, etc.
